About the Role
We are looking for a Production Engineer to join Stripe's team. This role involves building systems that support Stripe’s API and ensuring a reliable and secure platform.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead a team of talented engineers, providing mentorship and support
- →Partner with Engineering Managers to create roadmaps
- →Understand user needs and prioritize engineering work
- →Drive project execution from planning to delivery
- →Work with high-visibility teams and stakeholders
- →Provide hands-on technical leadership for team members
- →Build end-to-end API and developer experiences
- →Ensure APIs are secure, reliable, and performant
- →Scale Stripe’s API Infrastructure and extend API capabilities
Requirements
- ✓10+ years of technical experience or 7+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering
- ✓5+ years in a strategic technical leadership role
- ✓Experience leading engineering teams working on API design
- ✓Hands-on experience building infrastructure and products
- ✓Proven track record of delivering pragmatic solutions
- ✓Ability to adjust conversations from high-level to detailed coding
- ✓Thrives on autonomy and responsibility
- ✓Clear communication skills
- ✓Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- ✓Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Ruby, Python, Go)
