About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join the Developer Productivity team at Stripe Terminal. This role focuses on building tools and infrastructure to accelerate engineering teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define the architecture and technical strategy for Terminal Developer Productivity
- →Design, build and maintain high-quality tools, infrastructure and services
- →Partner with engineering teams to define and evolve the technical roadmap
- →Define and track key developer productivity and reliability metrics
- →Engage directly with internal teams to understand their workflows and pain points
- →Own the operational excellence of the developer tooling stack
- →Lead a team of technically sophisticated engineers
Requirements
- ✓10+ years of software engineering experience
- ✓BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- ✓Substantial work across mobile and backend systems
- ✓Experience designing, building and operating scalable systems
- ✓Ability to set a technical vision and lead a team of engineers
- ✓Proven track record of leading large, complex technical projects
- ✓Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, or Go
- ✓Experience with CI/CD tooling and modern build systems
- ✓Experience with automated testing infrastructure
- ✓Experience driving cross-team technical initiatives
