About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Web Foundations team at StubHub. This role focuses on building and evolving the core web platform that powers all consumer-facing experiences across StubHub.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and evolve core frontend and backend platform architecture
- →Build reusable fullstack systems, libraries, and services used across multiple product teams
- →Lead technical initiatives that improve performance, reliability, and developer velocity
- →Drive cross-team architectural alignment and reduce system complexity
- →Establish best practices around testing, observability, scalability, and maintainability
- →Contribute to experimentation-ready infrastructure and feature enablement tooling
- →Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the organization
- →Influence long-term platform strategy while remaining hands-on in implementation
Requirements
- ✓6–10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- ✓Strong experience building modern fullstack applications (React, JavaScript/TypeScript + backend technologies such as C#, Java, Python, or similar)
- ✓Experience designing scalable frontend or platform-level architectures
- ✓Deep understanding of performance optimization, system design, and distributed service interactions
- ✓Proven track record of leading complex initiatives from concept through production
- ✓Experience supporting multiple teams through shared platforms or reusable systems
- ✓Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
