About the Role
Sumo Logic is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join their Cloud SIEM team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable cloud-based SIEM solutions that provide comprehensive security visibility and analytics for modern cloud and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable cloud services
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- →Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of services
- →Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- →Maintain code quality, organization, and automation
- →Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- →Mentor junior engineers and help them grow their technical skills
- →Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- ✓5-8 years of industry experience with a proven track record of ownership
- ✓Experience with Scala (or another JVM language) and Kafka in production environments
- ✓Experience in multi-threaded programming and globally distributed systems (preferably in AWS)
- ✓Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ✓Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and adapt to new technologies
- ✓Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- ✓Occasional on-call availability
