About the Role
We are looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join Sunday, a company developing personal robots to automate household tasks. This role involves working on firmware across all aspects of our home robots, including sensing, networking, motor control, and power distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and implement motor control firmware on brushed and brushless actuators
- →Own firmware bring-up on critical components
- →Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to integrate firmware into robotic platforms
Requirements
- ✓BS or MS degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- ✓3+ years of real-time embedded software development
- ✓Proficiency in C/C++ and Python in a production environment
- ✓Expertise in motor control concepts like FOC, PWM, and BLDC control
- ✓Familiarity with common controls techniques for robot actuators
- ✓Experience working with electrical engineering teams and reading schematics
- ✓Experience with hardware validation cycles, debug methods, and testing
- ✓Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485, CAN, and EtherCAT
