About the Role
We are seeking a Pump Service Technician to join our Service Department. This role involves comprehensive pump repair, maintenance, and custom fabrication work to support various industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- →Tear down, evaluate, and repair various pump types including AODD, ANSI, centrifugal, vertical turbine, and magnetic drive pumps
- →Install and inspect mechanical seals and packing arrangements on pumps
- →Machine impellers to specified dimensions for new pump buildups
- →Design, engineer, weld, and build custom fabricated base plates for pumps and motors
- →Engineer and fabricate custom guards for belt-driven and in-line pumps
- →Contact vendors for steel pricing and material availability
- →Perform basic A/C electrical wiring, motor testing, and motor hookup
- →Design and build PVC pump systems per customer specifications
- →Assist with field repairs and pump installations as required
- →Provide customer training on various pump systems
- →Maintain shop equipment through preventive maintenance
- →Repair and maintain building operations and shop equipment
Requirements
- ✓Proficiency in pump repair and maintenance across multiple pump brands and types
- ✓Experience with mechanical seal installation and inspection
- ✓Machining skills for impeller work and various machine applications
- ✓Welding and fabrication capabilities for custom base plates and guards
- ✓Knowledge of basic A/C electrical wiring and motor systems
- ✓Ability to design and build PVC pump systems
- ✓Experience with field repairs and installations
- ✓Customer service skills for training and support
- ✓Maintenance skills for shop equipment and building operations
