About the Role
SunSource is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join their expanding team during a period of business growth. This role offers the opportunity to help define audit processes and procedures while making a meaningful impact across the organization. The Internal Audit Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Internal Audit and have high visibility with executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and participate in all phases of financial, operational, and compliance audits
- →Facilitate follow-up processes with management for timely remediation of audit observations
- →Analyze data to identify trends and risk patterns, recommending audit process adjustments
- →Support identification of internal control risks and business process improvement opportunities
- →Seek continuous improvement opportunities for existing audit processes
- →Assist with special projects including process redesign, fraud risk analysis, and system implementation consultation
- →Support annual external financial audits of the company and its subsidiaries
- →Assist with merger and acquisition efforts through due diligence and post-closing integration
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's in accounting or equivalent experience required
- ✓5+ years audit experience in Big 4 and/or corporate Internal Audit function of large manufacturing company
- ✓Strong understanding of Internal Auditing methodologies and standards
- ✓Demonstrated knowledge of business processes, internal controls, and governance principles
- ✓Project management skills and ability to assess changing business process risks
- ✓Experience supervising audits and leading a team
- ✓Highly motivated self-starter with strong supply chain management audit experience
- ✓Strong critical thinking mentality with initiative to learn new processes
- ✓Understanding of IT General Controls and experience with auditing using AI
- ✓Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
- ✓Strong verbal and written communication skills
- ✓Willingness and ability to travel 20-30%
Preferred Qualifications
- ✓Master's degree or CIA/CISA/CPA certification
- ✓System implementation experience
- ✓Familiarity with MS SharePoint, GRC audit management software, data mining software, or data visualization software
