WHAT WE DO (AND WHY IT MATTERS):
Swarmer develops software that makes drones autonomous and allows them to operate together, in large teams, without pilots required. Our technology has been battle-tested across 100,000+ combat missions in Ukraine β the world's most intense proving ground for drone warfare. We just closed a $15M Series A (the largest investment in Ukrainian defense tech since the war began) and we're scaling operations to serve NATO-aligned nations.
This isn't theoretical. This is software that's being used right now to save lives and defend democracy.
WHAT WEβRE LOOKING FOR:
As a People Operations Specialist, you will have real ownership over how people processes are designed and improved at Swarmer. Youβll shape processes like onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data management, and local compensation and benefits. You will ensure these processes are accurate, compliant, and scalable as the company grows.
You will work closely with the HR Director, gaining exposure to both operational and strategic HR topics. Over time, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of areas such as HR Business Partnership and contribute to building the HR function in Poland.
This is a great role for someone who is strong in building and improving processes, while also enjoys structured work, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves. You will receive guidance from our HR Director, but we grant ownership and provide space for you suggesting smarter ways of doing things.
WHAT YOUβLL DO:
- Together with the HR Director create and roll out policies and process improvements, to cater our team in Poland the best way.
- Own localized onboarding and offboarding (contracts, documents, accounts, checklists)
- Administer local compensation and benefits enrollment.
- Maintain and improve employee data in HRIS (HiBob), ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure compliance of HR documentation and processes with local regulations.
- Be the first point of contact for employee HR-related questions.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and structure within People Operations.
YOUβLL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in HR operations, HR coordination, generalist, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with HR systems (HiBob is a plus).
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset β youβre eager to learn, ask questions, and suggest improvements.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively β you know when to take ownership and when to align with others.
- Motivation to develop further in People Operations and take on increasing ownership.
WHAT YOUβLL GET:
- Stable role in a fast-growing startup environment.
- Direct collaboration with an experienced HR Director.
- Opportunity to move from admin tasks into owning HR processes.
- Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package (insurance, paid sick leave, 20 paid days off per year).
- Flexible hybrid work model.
HOWβS THE HIRING PROCESS GOING:
βοΈ Intro Call β βοΈ Technical Interview β βοΈ Final Interview with HR Director and TA Lead β βοΈ Offer
Please note that, as a leading defense tech company, we take operations security seriously and may need to perform additional background checks as part of our hiring process. We will do so in accordance with all applicable EU laws and regulations and safeguard your data in the process.
WHY THIS MATTERS (AND WHY YOU SHOULD CARE):
Ukraine is deploying 5 million drones in 2025 alone. The US and NATO are paying attention. The future of defense isn't more pilotsβit's smarter software. We're not selling PowerPoints; we're selling proven technology that's been refined under the most demanding conditions imaginable.
Our team is direct, moves fast, and doesn't waste time on performative nonsense. If you want a company with seven layers of approval and endless consensus-building, this isn't it. If you want to do the most important work of your career with people who say what they mean and execute, let's talk.
ABOUT YOUR FUTURE MANAGER:
A few words from the person behind the title.
βHello! My name is Olha. I bring 15 years of experience in HR within the IT sector, with a strong focus over the last 4 years on veteransβ reintegration.
I believe the HR function exists to support teams and leaders in becoming stronger and more autonomous β never as a substitute for leadership itself. To me, the role of a leader is to serve their teams.
Iβm convinced that almost everything can be learned and mastered β except values, and the ability of the mind to think both systematically and flexibly. These are non-negotiables.
Outside of work, Iβm an active member of my community, and I enjoy art, food, and good laughs. Your memes are safe with me.β
