About the Role
The Zone Sales Manager (ZSM) is accountable for end-to-end sales delivery within the assigned zone, covering B2B channels (distributors and retailers) and Product-on-Ground (POG), defined as sales to farmers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own and manage key distributor and strategic retail accounts within the zone
- →Ensure strong execution of POG (sales-to-farmer) through Territory Sales Executives (TSEs)
- →Own collections performance within the zone in line with credit policies
- →Lead, coach, and manage Territory Sales Executives (TSEs)
- →Align closely with Field Marketing to synchronize sales push with demand creation
- →Own zone forecasting accuracy and execution rhythm
- →Ensure timely, accurate reporting for sales, POG performance, and collections
- →Ensure timely and reasonably accurate collection of competitor intelligence at zone level
Requirements
- ✓Strong background in B2B sales, particularly with distributors and retailers
- ✓Experience in managing sales teams and providing people leadership
- ✓Proven track record in achieving revenue targets and market share growth
- ✓Excellent account management and negotiation skills
- ✓Strong understanding of agricultural sales and farmer relationships
- ✓Ability to develop and execute sales strategies
- ✓Experience with channel management and inventory control
- ✓Knowledge of competitor analysis and market intelligence
- ✓Strong communication and leadership abilities
