About the Role
Tailscale is seeking a Developer Advocate who specializes in creating technically led, long-form, educational, and inspirational video content. This role focuses on producing clear, engaging videos that help developers understand Tailscale's technology and its impact on their solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own the production lifecycle of video content, from topic selection to scripting, recording, editing, and publishing
- →Explain complex technical ideas without oversimplifying or skipping important details
- →Maintain a calm, credible presence while explaining technical concepts on camera
- →Represent Tailscale publicly through conference talks and events
- →Support Developer Relations during events and community moments
Requirements
- ✓1–3+ years of experience creating technical, educational, or developer-focused content
- ✓Hands-on experience with video production tools and workflows
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Comfort learning technical concepts related to developer tooling, infrastructure, or networking
- ✓Familiarity with video performance metrics and using feedback to iterate on content
- ✓Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet regular publishing deadlines
- ✓Collaborative mindset with experience working alongside technical stakeholders
