THE ROLE We’re hiring a Developer Experience Engineer who is deeply technical, and can make our DevEx as fantastic as our product quality. Developers are one of Tavus’ primary customers, and we want to enhance their experience. This role is critical to ensuring LLMs and agents can effectively code with Tavus correctly, strengthen tooling, and drive Tavus as a preferred developer platform in a competitive marketplace. We’re looking for someone who thrives in early-stage chaos, loves building systems, and is excited to attract the kind of people who want to build what hasn’t been built before. YOUR MISSION 🚀 - Full ownership on improving tools, workflows, and systems to enhance developer satisfaction - Improve and maintain API usability by reducing complexity, eliminating friction, and ensuring all interfaces are intuitive and easy to implement - Ensure LLMs and agents can reliably integrate with Tavus APIs - Build and evolve developer tooling that meets or exceeds industry standards across customer journey REQUIREMENTS - 4+ years of DevEx working on tooling, DX platforms, docs, SDKs, CI/CD - 1-2+ years working with LLM-based systems or familiarity with modern LLM stacks - You’re a builder: you’ve created recruiting systems/processes from scratch or significantly improved existing ones - Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in ambiguity - Passion for AI and the opportunity to shape a team working at the edge of what’s possible BONUS IF YOU HAVE: - Experience as a founder, or startup building experience - Hands on experience with MCP and CLI tooling/workflows - Played Portal 1 and 2 - or willing to as part of onboarding 😄 BENEFITS When you join Tavus, you’re joining a family.
