About the Role
TEGNA Inc. is seeking a Video Editor to join KENS 5, their CBS affiliate in San Antonio. This is a temporary, full-time position lasting eight weeks, focused on creating engaging content for television, social media, and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- →Create content for newscast and digital platforms using editing tools
- →Enhance stories with creative production techniques like graphics and new media
- →Work closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists, and the digital team
Requirements
- ✓BA/BS degree preferred
- ✓Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
- ✓Interest in broadcast and digital news content
- ✓Strong organizational skills and ability to work under deadline pressure
- ✓Excellent communication skills
- ✓Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules
- ✓Must be able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends
