π Who We Are:
We are rebuilding the energy transaction, making it transparent and fair.
Our goal is to put power back where it belongs, in the hands of customers and to take on one of the most critical problems of our century, access to low cost electricity.
tem exists to fix a broken global energy market thatβs long favoured legacy operators, intermediaries, and opaque pricing. Todayβs electricity system was not designed for rapid decarbonisation, AI-driven efficiency or fair access for the actual users - businesses and generators.
Weβve built the first AI native transaction infrastructure to reinvent how electricity is bought, sold and priced. Our technology is designed to cut out the inefficient fees, automate complex market flows, and bring transparency and fairness to energy transactions at scale.
In late 2025, after extraordinary growth, we closed a $75 million Series B - led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Albion, Atomico, Allianz, Hitachi Ventures, Hitachi Ventures, Schroders Capital and others - positioning us for global expansion, deeper product innovation and category leadership.
Weβre scaling internationally and building toward a future where AI-driven infrastructure is foundational to electricity markets worldwide.
Since launch, our modern utility product, known as RED, has already facilitated thousands of business customers and billions in energy transaction value, proving that modern software and AI can transform an industry built on legacy systems.
At tem, weβre not just building another energy company, weβre rearchitecting market infrastructure so that transparency, efficiency and sustainability become the default, not the exception.
𧩠THE BUSINESS NEED
Alex, our Content Lead, owns editorial strategy, systems, and standards. What we need now is someone who can absorb everything below that line: producing and shipping content at volume, bringing genuine audience intelligence to distribution decisions, and keeping the machine running without Alex needing to touch it. This hire unlocks Alex to operate at strategic altitude. Without it, execution and strategy compete for the same headspace.
This means aligning to an existing voice and standard, not competing with it. The right person gets up to speed on how Alex thinks and writes, and then builds from there. We're not looking for someone who wants to set a new direction. We're looking for someone who can hold the line and push the quality forward within a framework that already exists.
ποΈ THE ROLE
We're hiring a Senior Content Specialist.
This is a production and distribution role. You will write, produce, and ship content across formats - newsletters, LinkedIn posts, long-form articles, broker-facing one-pagers, email copy. But you will also bring data to distribution decisions: who is actually reading what, via which channel, and what format serves each audience best. You will be the person who tells Alex that the energy report should be ungated for discoverability but gated for lead capture - and then executes both.
Critically, this is not a role where you ship things ad hoc and move on. Everything you produce should ladder up to a system that scales, not just operationally but in terms of brand. The best people in this role build in parallel to shipping: they see the pattern in what they're producing, identify what's missing, and make the machine better as they go. That's what we mean when we say judgment matters here. It's not just about writing well. It's about knowing which problem to solve next and why.
You will:
- Own the content publishing cadence and keep it moving without supervision
- Build and act on distribution recommendations grounded in performance data
- Work with the agency on video and production briefs
- Bring audience intelligence into every content decision, not just the writing
A note on our commercial model: we sell predominantly through broker partners who pitch RED to SME businesses. Brokers are the primary route to market, not end customers. A significant portion of your output, one-pagers, objection-handling content, partner-facing copy, will be aimed at helping those brokers sell more confidently. Understanding that audience, and what makes them trust a supplier, is a real part of this job.
π RESPONSIBILITIES
Content production
- Produce content across formats - newsletters, LinkedIn posts, long-form articles, broker-facing one-pagers, email copy - to a high and consistent standard
- Coordinate with PMMs on messaging alignment and ensure content output reflects the right product narrative
- Coordinate with Carol on lifecycle email copy and flag when AEO content needs a distribution push
Distribution
- Own distribution strategy for major content moments: recommend format, channel mix, gating decisions, and repurposing sequences
- Bring data to support distribution recommendations; execute once Alex decides
- Pull and review weekly distribution metrics - flag what outperformed, recommend what to repeat, surface patterns that should inform editorial decisions
Operations and calendar management
- Manage the content calendar: confirm statuses, chase stalled items, coordinate timelines between Alex, the PMM team, and the content tool
- Ensure the production machine runs without Alex needing to hold it in his head
Agency management
- Work with the agency on video and production briefs - pull in messaging from the PMM kit, align on tone, manage the back-and-forth
π― REQUIREMENTS
Must-haves
- 4-6 years in content, editorial, or a closely related role, with demonstrable output quality across multiple formats
- Strong writing: you can produce clear, engaging copy quickly and to a consistent standard without heavy supervision
- Distribution instinct: you think about who reads what and how to get content in front of the right people, not just how to produce it
- Data-driven: you look at performance numbers and draw recommendations from them, not just observations
- Operationally reliable: you close loops, update statuses, and ensure the machine keeps running without needing to be chased
- Able to simplify complexity: tem operates in a technically dense market where trust is the real product. You can take something unfamiliar and make it feel clear and credible without dumbing it down
Bonus points
- Experience in B2B or a technically complex market where content needs to build trust as well as drive traffic
- Experience writing for or alongside a commercial team: you understand how content connects to pipeline, not just reach
- Experience working alongside a content lead or editorial director as an execution partner
- Familiarity with HubSpot for content scheduling or email coordination
- Understanding of AEO or AI-powered search as a distribution channel
