ABOUT THE SENIOR ENGINEER IN TEST ROLE AND OUR TEAM
The Knot Worldwide is hiring a Senior Engineer in Test to join a highly motivated team. The right engineer will enjoy fast-paced collaboration with product, design, data, and user experience teams in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality web-based features for our US vendors.
This role will focus on testing applications and products in the Vendor Experience Zone, ensuring the excellence of features that bring innovation to vendors on our WeddingPro brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
β’ Ensure that features are high-quality by writing automated tests and communicating with the team about issues, risk, and product quality.
β’ Manage defects by identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking issues while working collaboratively with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
β’ Interface with team in coordinating test coverage needs for every production release.
β’ Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc.
β’ Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA and Agile processes.
β’ Partner with Engineering Lead, Engineering Manager and Product Manager to prioritize releases and determine quality metrics.
SUCCESSFUL SENIOR ENGINEERS IN TEST HAVE:
β’ Expert knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
β’ Experience with modern UI test frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.
β’ Experience writing automated tests for backend services and APIs using frameworks such as Supertest or Mocha and API tools like Postman.
β’ Experience using Node.js and Typescript.
β’ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
β’ Experience collaborating with PMs, Designers and Engineers in an Agile environment.
β’ Ability to take initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and drive enhancements in quality processes.
β’ Knowledge of best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc.
β’ Strong analytical skills to understand complex systems, assess risks, and contribute to effective testing strategies.
β’ Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate to solve problems.
β’ Familiarity with using AI to improve velocity while maintaining quality.
β’ Experience developing load tests to measure application performance.
β’ And as a plus:
β’ Familiarity with React
β’ Familiarity with AWS/Kubernetes/Docker concepts and technology
β’ Mobile testing experience
β’ Experience writing SQL and analyzing queries
WORK MODEL:
This role is Together@TKWW-eligible and based near one of our office hubs. Youβll be expected to work in the office two days a week as part of our hybrid work model.
This role includes on-call rotations to ensure the stability of our systems. Specific schedules and compensation will be discussed during the interview process
