About the Role
Toast is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our Kiosk team, responsible for developing the guest-facing Android tablet that enables self-ordering and payment at restaurants. This role involves enhancing the Kiosk product with new features to improve guest experience and restaurant operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work collaboratively with UX, PM, QA, and other engineers to build the Kiosk Android application
- →Develop and maintain Kiosk workflows for ordering, payments, loyalty programs, and more
- →Drive best practices and help choose modern technologies to evolve our current tech stack
- →Provide design feedback and participate in code reviews
- →Ensure quality delivery and appropriate monitoring of all team work
- →Mentor other team members to enhance team effectiveness
Requirements
- ✓Highly proficient in native Android development with Kotlin
- ✓Proficient in Software Development best practices including Code Quality and Unit Testing
- ✓Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
- ✓Experience with Selenium or Espresso/Screenshot testing
- ✓Familiar with traditional databases and alternative data stores
- ✓Experience delivering high-quality, reliable services to production
- ✓Passionate about building great software
