About the Role
Toast is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Program Manager with regulatory compliance expertise to join our Hardware Program Management Office (HW PMO) team in Taiwan. This role will play a key part in supporting worldwide new product introductions (NPI) and building Toast's hardware regulatory readiness and compliance program.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead new hardware product development programs through to production launch
- →Create and execute project work plans, revising as needed to meet changing requirements
- →Manage the project risk register and associated mitigation plans
- →Manage ODM, JDM suppliers to maintain schedule and execute on all deliverables
- →Own and drive global regulatory and compliance programs for Toast Devices
- →Partner with cross-functional teams to embed classification and Country of Origin (COO) requirements into NPI and launch processes
- →Track compliance status, launch readiness, and risk indicators
- →Communicate risk, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership
- →Align cross-functional teams with a clear project plan, ensuring focus and commitment to met deliverables
- →Serve as the primary conduit for projects/programs between multiple suppliers and global cross-functional teams
- →Ensure teams adhere to Toast standards and best practices
- →Convey information clearly and accurately through various communication methods
Requirements
- ✓Minimum 6+ years of project management experience, PMP certification preferred
- ✓3+ years of experience in HW Regulatory and Compliance
- ✓Technical experience working with electromechanical systems; mobile tablet experience is a plus
- ✓Experience managing manufacturing suppliers in Asia
- ✓Experience working with a US-based company or US-based teams
- ✓Strong English communication skills
- ✓Strong knowledge of program management skills in a product development environment using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- ✓Self-motivated and able to work independently
- ✓A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required
- ✓Ability to drive tangible results in a timely manner, even when the work involves a high level of ambiguity
- ✓Strong collaboration and influencing skills
