About the Role
We are seeking an X-Lab Software Engineer to support the Experimentation Laboratory responsible for developing and integrating future-capability prototypes for the Missile Defense System. This role involves contributing to the development, testing, and integration of software solutions for advanced missile defense technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and test innovative software solutions for experimentation laboratory projects
- →Perform software development using Java within a large distributed system
- →Conduct complex problem resolution including design, development, testing, integration, and user support
- →Follow specifications to develop new functionality or modify existing code
- →Provide in-depth analysis and technical support of distributed software systems
- →Assist with system design activities including benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation
- →Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems and improve system efficiency
- →Design, code, test, and implement automation tools
- →Work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- →Communicate technical information clearly through written and verbal communication
Requirements
- ✓Software development experience using Java
- ✓Experience with software design, development, testing, and integration
- ✓Experience supporting or troubleshooting large distributed software systems
- ✓Experience working with large software code baselines
- ✓Ability to follow technical specifications to develop or modify software functionality
- ✓Experience supporting development of automation tools
- ✓Ability to work independently or collaboratively within engineering teams
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills
