Position Summary Trulioo is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our high-growth Document Verification engineering team. Document Verification is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas within Trulioo, playing a critical role in our mission to build trusted identities globally. At Trulioo, we leverage the best available tools, technologies, and practices to deliver a world-class platform — and we’re looking for passionate individuals who are eager to learn and innovate. This will be a full-time, permanent position working out of the Vancouver office on a hybrid model (3 days per week in the office). What you will be doing: - Applying cutting-edge technologies to help create the next generation of Document Verification solutions. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design customer-focused features and contribute to a forward-looking product strategy. - Working alongside a high-performing team of software engineers to deliver scalable and robust backend services. - Taking initiative to own solutions end-to-end — from planning and design through development, deployment, and maintenance. What You’ll Bring: - 1+ years of professional software development experience (co-op, internship, or equivalent experience also welcome). - Proficiency in Kotlin or Java. - A strong ability and eagerness to quickly learn new technologies and apply research effectively. - Exposure to frameworks and principles for building microservices architectures. - Familiarity with event-driven architecture and Pub/Sub technologies. - Some experience or coursework in cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative working style.
