Microsoft AI Business Solutions (ABS) Solution Architect Leader
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microsoft AI Business Solutions (ABS) Solution Architect Leader to lead a team of Pre-Sales Solution Architects focused on the Microsoft Business Applications and AI stack. This role will own technical presales leadership across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Contact Center solutions.
The role will be responsible not only for presales execution, but also for building scalable assets and accelerators, standardizing solution approaches, and maintaining strong, productive relationships with Microsoft field teams to drive joint pipeline and co-sell success.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership, Practice Development & Scale
β’ Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Microsoft ABS Solution Architects supporting presales and strategic pursuits.
β’ Establish best practices, standards, and repeatable presales motions across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot, and Contact Center solutions.
β’ Drive asset and accelerator development (e.g., reference architectures, demo environments, solution playbooks, proposal content, and reusable IP) to improve sales velocity and consistency.
β’ Create and drive multi-practice opportunities by collaborating across CX, Data & AI, Azure, and Managed Services teams.
β’ Partner closely with Delivery leadership to ensure solution designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned to delivery excellence.
β’ Stay current on Microsoft product roadmaps, licensing changes, and industry trends to keep the practice market-leading.
Client Engagement & Sales Partnership
β’ Partner with sales leadership to uncover customer business challenges and map them to Microsoft AI Business Solutions.
β’ Lead solutioning for complex opportunities, including executive-level presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and value-based storytelling.
β’ Develop and deliver high-quality responses to RFPs and RFIs aligned to customer goals, Microsoft best practices, and competitive differentiation.
β’ Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through modernization, AI adoption, and digital transformation journeys.
Solution Design, Architecture & Accelerators
β’ Architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions using:
β’ Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales, Service, Field Service, Customer Insights)
β’ Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
β’ Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio
β’ Microsoft Contact Center and integrations with third-party CCaaS platforms
β’ Develop solution blueprints, accelerators, and reference architectures for common customer scenarios and industry use cases.
β’ Own and evolve presales demos, frameworks, and accelerators that can be reused across pursuits to reduce cost and cycle time.
β’ Design solutions that integrate Microsoft Business Applications with enterprise systems (ERP, data platforms, legacy applications).
Technical & Licensing Expertise
β’ Maintain deep technical and functional knowledge of the Microsoft Business Applications ecosystem.
β’ Provide guidance on Microsoft licensing, packaging, and cost optimization, including Dynamics 365, Contact Center, Power Platform, and Copilot.
β’ Understand and articulate interoperability between Microsoft solutions and third-party platforms.
β’ Enable the field with consistent messaging, solution positioning, and technical differentiation.
Microsoft Relationships & Co-Sell Leadership
β’ Establish, maintain, and grow strong relationships with Microsoft field teams, including Account Executives, Solution Specialists, Product Group, and Partner Development Managers.
β’ Act as the primary technical leadership interface to Microsoft for AI Business Solutions pursuits.
β’ Support Microsoft co-sell motions, joint account planning, pipeline reviews, and executive briefings.
β’ Align practice priorities, assets, and accelerators with Microsoft strategic initiatives and GTM focus areas.
β’ Represent the practice in Microsoft-sponsored events, enablement sessions, and strategic planning discussions.
CXO-Level Engagement & Advisory
β’ Build credibility and trust with C-suite executives by connecting Microsoft technologies to measurable business outcomes.
β’ Translate complex technical concepts into executive-level value propositions and ROI-driven narratives.
β’ Serve as a strategic advisor, helping clients navigate organizational, technical, and adoption challenges.
Collaboration, Communication & GTM
β’ Partner with Sales, Delivery, Marketing, and Alliances teams to align go-to-market strategies.
β’ Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Contribute to thought leadership, internal enablement, and external-facing messaging.
Market Awareness & Business Growth
β’ Stay current on competitive offerings across CRM, low-code platforms, AI copilots, and contact center solutions.
β’ Identify opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, and expansion by understanding customer maturity and roadmap alignment.
β’ Use assets, accelerators, and Microsoft relationships to drive predictable, repeatable pipeline growth.
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of experience leading presales or technical sales teams within a professional services or systems integrator environment.
β’ Deep expertise in Microsoft AI Business Solutions, including Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, Copilot, and Microsoft Contact Center.
β’ Strong experience leading RFP responses, solution presentations, and complex deal support.
β’ Proven ability to engage, influence, and advise CXO-level stakeholders.
β’ Demonstrated success standardizing presales motions and driving repeatable wins
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Microsoft certifications (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, Copilot).
β’ Experience building and scaling presales assets, accelerators, and IP.
β’ Proven experience working directly with Microsoft field teams and alliance organizations.
β’ Familiarity with competitive platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Genesys, NICE, Five9, Talkdesk).
