About the Role
We are looking for a Data Architect to design and establish programme data architecture in an environment with limited formal structures. This role involves defining foundational patterns, standards, and models to support a multi-system implementation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- βDefine programme data architecture, including models, standards, and integration patterns aligned to TOGAF or DAMA principles.
- βEstablish clear architectural principles and ensure solutions are proportionate, pragmatic, and scalable.
- βAlign architecture with the wider data strategy and support business case development and investment decisions.
- βContribute to governance forums, maintaining key artefacts such as reference architectures, decision records, and data dictionaries.
- βGuide Agile delivery teams, providing architectural assurance across sprints, design sessions, and backlog development.
- βCollaborate with data engineer, modeller, and solution architect to ensure designs are practical and technically sound.
- βIdentify and escalate architectural risks, issues, and technical dependencies.
- βCommunicate architectural concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- βMentor and support members of the data team, fostering capability growth.
