About the Role
Turner & Townsend is seeking Project Managers to join our Energy & Natural Resources division during a period of significant growth. This role involves leading Project Management Commissions and ensuring end-to-end service delivery for large or complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery
- →Provide support on major Project Management Commissions
- →Ensure client objectives are met and projects are delivered to time and cost targets
- →Handle commissions of varying scale and value, delivering small to medium complexity projects independently
- →Advise at a strategic level at the project inception stage
- →Prepare and maintain definitions of project requirements
- →Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems
- →Prepare and maintain schedules of activity, including producing the master project plan
- →Manage the development of the project in accordance with approved plans and targets
- →Develop and implement resource plans and procurement of resources
- →Lead and facilitate the overall cross-functional project team
- →Monitor and apply performance management techniques
- →Manage the change control process
- →Develop and agree budgets and control forecast and actual costs
- →Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client
- →Identify and monitor project risks and plan and implement risk mitigations
- →Prepare formal project progress and other reports
- →Take a leading role in interfacing with the client, other consultants, and managing stakeholders
- →Advise the client regarding Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- →Plan for and manage quality, safety, health, and environment issues
Requirements
- ✓Project management experience
- ✓Ability to lead end-to-end service delivery for large or complex projects
- ✓Strategic advisory skills at the project inception stage
- ✓Experience in preparing and maintaining project requirements
- ✓Knowledge of establishing project governance, processes, and systems
- ✓Ability to prepare and maintain schedules of activity
- ✓Experience in managing project development according to approved plans
- ✓Skills in developing and implementing resource plans
- ✓Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams
- ✓Knowledge of performance management techniques
- ✓Experience in managing change control processes
- ✓Skills in developing and controlling budgets
- ✓Ability to manage the flow of project information
- ✓Experience in identifying and monitoring project risks
- ✓Skills in preparing formal project reports
- ✓Ability to interface with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- ✓Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental issues
- ✓Experience in managing quality, safety, health, and environment issues
- ✓Internal management accountabilities, to include:
- ✓Staff management (where appropriate) – Inputting into the formal management of an Assistant Project Manager or small project management team, input into resource management and attendance at junior staff appraisals
- ✓Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each project is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database
- ✓Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes
