About the Role

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Deputy Design Manager to work on large scale municipal projects. This role involves managing Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contracts and leading the pre-construction/design process.

Key Responsibilities

→Provide support and report to assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director
→Directly assist Project Managers in managing and administering civil scopes
→Ensure all aspects of client services are delivered at the highest level
→Prepare various documents for programming, civil design and construction
→Coordinate meetings with the project team
→Communicate conceptual civil designs and maintain project documentation
→Maintain Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications
→Review and inform design RFPs
→Manage external design consultants through the design and construction process
→Communicate design standards to internal and external partners
→Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
→Find innovative solutions to reduce costs without impacting quality
→Oversee commissioning of electrical scopes
→Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable

Requirements

✓Extensive prior experience working as a CM for a Construction Manager at Risk
✓Experience leading the pre-construction/design process
✓Ability to manage CMAR Contracts
✓Strong communication and coordination skills
✓Experience with project management software
✓Understanding of Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications
✓Knowledge of design RFPs and consultant management
✓Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
✓Understanding of SOX control responsibilities
