About the Role
We are looking for a World Builder to join our team. This role focuses on creating and improving game environments, ensuring consistency between creative intentions, gameplay, and technical constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- →Study the terrain from the perspective of playability, credibility, readability, gameplay potential, and technical constraints to identify problems, inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities
- →Design and improve terrain, participate in the distribution of materials and biomes to ensure consistency between creative intentions, gameplay, and technical constraints
- →Work closely with the World Director, Technical Director, Technical Artists, Game Designers, Gameplay Programmers, Level Designers, Level Artists, and Associate Producers, ensuring clear and continuous communication
- →Align your work with project milestones (Conception, First Playable, Alpha, Beta, Gold) to provide a progressively structured, stable world ready to host playable content
- →Organize your work autonomously and expose it to decision-makers, advise on the prioritization of risks and dependencies, and immediately report any critical blockages or inconsistencies with concrete solutions
- →Provide regular visibility on progress, the actual state of the world, risks, issues, and next steps, as well as the collaborators involved in the different processes
