About the Role
As a Staff Solutions Engineer at Upbound, you'll be a vital part of our pre-sales team supporting efforts in the EMEA region. This role focuses on helping customers understand and implement Upbound products and solutions to solve their technical business problems.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with Sales Account Executives to engage in technical discussions with customers throughout the buying lifecycle
- →Create and deliver high fidelity presentations, custom demos, and sample solutions to guide customers through the buying journey
- →Solve technical and business challenges with customers and platform builders to design, build, and implement Crossplane and Upbound Cloud architectures
- →Define, implement, and test early proof of concepts of Crossplane and Upbound Cloud
- →Collect detailed customer requirements for implementation services
- →Serve as the technical voice and trusted advisor to customers
- →Project manage the account pre and post sale to ensure a smooth customer experience
Requirements
- ✓Experience in pre-sales, consulting, or equivalent in an enterprise environment
- ✓Experience developing relationships with engineering, executive, and commercial teams in large organizations
- ✓Guided customers through designing and deploying Kubernetes to production environments
- ✓Deep understanding of highly scaled and reliable services, solutions, and infrastructure in major cloud providers
- ✓Experience troubleshooting and solving complex technical issues with customers or open source community members
- ✓Deployed and integrated Cloud Native Landscape projects, especially CNCF projects, into production environments
- ✓Deep understanding of modern operational and application delivery tools and methodologies like Terraform, CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps
- ✓Ability to work closely with people from diverse disciplines and backgrounds
- ✓Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Ability to identify and remove friction from the buying process
- ✓Excitement and comfort in defining, scaling, and making this part of the sales process thrive
