About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to join Vannevar, a defense technology company building AI to deter adversaries. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and executive leadership, partnering with technical leaders to drive high-impact initiatives that shape how our engineering organization scales.

Key Responsibilities

→Serve as a force multiplier to the Executive Vice President of Engineering and other engineering leaders
→Improve engineering prioritization, planning, and delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives
→Build and scale operating systems that increase visibility into performance, resourcing, and technical execution
→Lead high-impact, cross-functional engineering initiatives from ambiguity to shipped outcomes
→Strengthen the foundations for engineering scale, including org design, hiring alignment, documentation, and ownership clarity

Requirements

✓3–5+ years of experience in a technical environment (startup or high-growth tech company)
✓Strong technical fluency — able to interface credibly with engineers and understand architectural tradeoffs
✓Demonstrated experience working directly with engineering teams
✓Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
✓High ownership and bias toward action
✓Exceptional cross-functional partnership skills
