About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Design Systems team at Vanta. This role focuses on building and maintaining high-quality UI components and establishing UI/UX standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build, maintain, and update existing shared UI components to ensure consistency across our system and product
- →Advise on UI/UX best practices and standards, bringing a high bar for design craft
- →Educate engineers in UX and industry standards, Design System guidance, and implementation in code
- →Support product team use cases through building new shared patterns or updating guidance
- →Drive technical direction within your team and make key technical decisions
- →Identify, scope, and lead technical projects for building highly performant and reliable systems
- →Mentor and uplevel more junior teammates through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- ✓5-8 years of industry experience with deep expertise in frontend engineering, design systems, and accessibility
- ✓Proven ability to drive complex technical initiatives independently in fast-paced environments
- ✓Extensive experience building shared UI components and developer tooling for exceptional user experiences
- ✓Mastery in system design and software architecture, with an emphasis on user experience and accessibility standards
- ✓Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, component architecture, state management, and frontend performance optimization
- ✓Demonstrated leadership through mentoring teammates, driving technical decisions, and influencing engineering standards
- ✓Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and collaborate across engineering teams
- ✓Open to using AI to amplify skills and strengthen work, demonstrating curiosity and responsible application of AI
