About the Role
Vast is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support the development of systems for artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This role involves leading cross-functional development and execution for Haven-1 and future products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, managing hardware, software, and artifacts across departments
- →Drive product development success by prioritizing safety and quality while maintaining timelines
- →Act as a single point of contact for managing scope, schedule, cost, and priorities
- →Ensure schedules and program documents are complete and available for review
- →Apply first principles approach to problem solving and decision making
- →Demonstrate urgency across all initiatives
Requirements
- ✓B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering field
- ✓3+ years of successful contributions in an engineering discipline
- ✓1+ years of cross-functional technical leadership
- ✓Experience with project management and reporting tools (MS Project, SmartSheet, JIRA, Confluence)
- ✓Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- ✓Willingness to work evenings and weekends for critical milestones
- ✓Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
