The role
Vector is undertaking a major ERP transformation, a critical programme underpinning how we plan, operate and deliver into the future.
As a Senior ERP Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction, design and successful delivery of this transformation. You will work across complex, cross‑functional domains, providing deep analysis, strong judgement and practical leadership to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and deliver real business value.
This is a senior hands‑on role within a fast‑paced, multi‑vendor transformation environment. You’ll operate at the intersection of business, Digital, and implementation partners, translating ambiguity into clarity, shaping requirements, and supporting confident decision‑making through the full lifecycle of discovery, selection, design and delivery.
Sitting within Vector’s Business Analysis Practice, you’ll also contribute to how high‑quality analysis is done at Vector, modelling good practice while flexing your approach to suit context and pace.
In this role, you will:
• Lead the definition and clarification of complex business and functional requirements across ERP and enabling domains, ensuring requirements are outcome‑focused, prioritised and traceable.
• Develop RFI and vendor selection content, defining requirements, scenarios and acceptance criteria to support effective supplier comparison.
• Play a key role in vendor evaluation, assessing solutions through a requirements‑fit and business‑value lens and contributing to confident selection decisions.
• Support and facilitate design workshops and clarification sessions post‑vendor selection, ensuring shared understanding between Vector teams and delivery partners.
• Work closely with stakeholders to analyse and design end‑to‑end business processes, balancing future‑state ambition with practical delivery considerations.
• Translate complexity into clear, pragmatic analysis artefacts that enable delivery teams to move with confidence.
• Collaborate across Digital, Finance, HR, Procurement, Assets and other business areas to break down silos and align outcomes.
• Operate comfortably across Agile and waterfall environments, adapting your approach to the phase and maturity of the programme.Who we’re looking for
You are a seasoned Business Analyst who brings practical judgement alongside strong analytical craft, and who thrives in large‑scale change contexts where problems are clarified through action, iteration and engagement.
You’ll bring:
• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst on large‑scale ERP implementations or modernisation programmes within complex enterprise environments. Experience in utilities or asset‑intensive industries is an advantage.
• Strong experience leading requirements definition end‑to‑end, from early problem framing through to detailed functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Demonstrated experience constructing RF documents, managing evaluations, and participating in structured RF or vendor selection processes.
• A solid, practical understanding of ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday or Microsoft Dynamics, and how platform capability translates into business outcomes.
• Experience working across multiple ERP domains (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement, Assets, Inventory) with a strong end‑to‑end process mindset.
• Strong capability in business process analysis and design (as‑is / to‑be), using tools such as Signavio, Lucid, Visio or Bizagi.
• Confidence engaging, influencing and challenging stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders and external partners.
• A facilitative style that helps unify diverse perspectives and move groups toward clear, shared decisions.
• Comfort working across both Agile and waterfall delivery approaches; exposure to design thinking or human‑centred design is desirable.
• A pragmatic, customer‑focused mindset, with the ability to turn complexity into clear, actionable direction.Formal ERP or BA certifications (e.g. SAP, Oracle, CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA) are desirable but not essential if practical experience is strong.
