Key Responsibilities
- βLead the Android Chapter, providing technical guidance and mentorship to Android developers across multiple squads
- βDefine and drive the Android technical strategy, architecture patterns, and technology roadmap
- βEstablish and maintain Android coding standards, best practices, and development guidelines
- βChampion architectural decisions and ensure consistency across all Android projects
- βFacilitate knowledge sharing through tech talks, workshops, and documentation
- βCollaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other Tech Leads
- βConduct and coordinate code reviews, promoting high-quality code
- βDrive the adoption of new technologies and improvements to the Android ecosystem
- βMonitor and improve application performance, stability, and user experience
- βLead technical discussions and decision-making processes at the platform level
- βEnsure CI/CD processes are optimized and followed
- βFoster innovation and participate in prototyping new features
- βSupport the recruitment process by evaluating technical candidates
- βAct as the primary point of contact for Android-related technical matters
Requirements
- βAt least 7+ years of experience in building Android applications with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role
- βDeep expertise in Kotlin and solid understanding of Java
- βProven experience architecting and scaling Android applications
- βStrong experience with modern Android architecture components
- βAdvanced knowledge of dependency injection frameworks
- βExpert knowledge of Android Studio, Android SDK, and the Android ecosystem
- βProven ability to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- βExperience with reactive programming
- βStrong skills in unit and UI testing
- βDemonstrated ability to mentor and coach developers
- βExcellent leadership and people management skills
- βStrong communication and collaboration skills
- βFluent in English (written and verbal)
