About the Role
We are looking for a Data Operations Lead to join Veeva Systems and serve as the operational backbone of data curation efforts for Veeva OpenData. This role involves leading a remote team of data curators, designing production processes, and driving technological improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality in the life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities
- →Implement automation strategy by identifying opportunities for state-of-the-art technology and collaborating with Product and Engineering teams
- →Achieve data excellence by establishing and owning gold standards for data quality and designing robust processes for tracking and validation
- →Monitor and optimize team output by tracking KPIs, identifying operational bottlenecks, and implementing efficiency projects
- →Serve as a servant leader by mentoring and inspiring a dynamic team of Data Curators to foster a culture of proactivity and high performance
- →Act as a risk guardian by proactively identifying data risks and operational incidents and ensuring quick resolution
Requirements
- ✓Data-first mindset with 3+ years of experience in fast-paced environments (Tech, Startup, Consulting) and proven track record with complex data sets or operations
- ✓Process mastery with strong experience in business process design and optimization for unstructured data workflows
- ✓Global communication skills with excellent written and verbal English and ability to collaborate effectively in distributed, international environments
- ✓Proven leadership with previous experience mentoring junior team members, leading projects, or managing teams (3+ years preferred)
