About the Role

We are looking for a Release Engineer to join our team at Veeva Systems. This role focuses on building and maintaining our deployment pipeline to ensure high-quality SaaS products reach customers with precision and speed.

Key Responsibilities

→Audit existing manual release workflows and transition them into automated Jenkins pipelines
→Manage and organize build processes and branch access across multiple development streams
→Partner with Development and Quality Assurance stakeholders to design and execute a robust test and release process
→Collaborate with Technical Operations team during live release activities
→Create and manage automated deployment processes for both internal and production environments
→Ensure build requirements—including daily builds, CI pipelines, and code quality metrics—are consistently met
→Rigorously test upgrade packages to ensure seamless transitions for end-users
→Troubleshoot and resolve complex deployment problems alongside Development, QA, and Tech Ops teams
→Oversee the maintenance and integrity of the code repository

Requirements

✓3+ years of experience in release engineering or related DevOps responsibilities
✓Solid understanding of Agile, release management tools, and DevOps best practices
✓Proficient knowledge of Linux and the ability to develop scripts for automating routine tasks
✓Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), cloud infrastructure (AWS), and source code version control systems (Git)
✓Proven track record of identifying manual technical bottlenecks and developing automated solutions
✓Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
✓Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage branch access and coordinate build movements
✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
