Veeva Systems is expanding its global footprint with a new development centre in Hyderabad, India. This emerging and growing branch of Veeva is looking for Software Engineer, Test Automation for multiple positions to expand global quality & release engineering efforts. You will be working on cutting-edge technologies such as Cucumber, AWS(EC2, S3, Workspace), Visual Regression & DevOps Tools, playing a pivotal role in developing/maintaining automating tests to support our ever-growing suite of regression tests. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, motivated, and can work without too much supervision.
What Youβll Do
β’ Possess deep knowledge of Veeva products such as Vault core platform and Veeva AI applications
β’ Own end-to-end automation for assigned product areas, from test automation design to execution and failure triage
β’ Own end-to-end UI and API automation for AI Agent flows, including agent-to-service communication, test automation design, and failure triage.
β’ Drive improvements in test stability, execution time, and coverage for regression suites
β’ Analyze automation failures and classify them as product, environment, or automation issues, and follow through to closure
β’ Provide actionable quality metrics (test coverage, flaky tests, failure trends) to QA manager
β’ Be a technical mentor and resolve the technical issues faced by the junior team members
β’ Continuously evaluate and adopt tools/approaches to improve automation effectiveness
Requirements
β’ Minimum 6+ years of experience in the fields of Test Automation, and/or Software Development
β’ Strong proficiency in Java with solid object-oriented design principles
β’ Experience designing scalable, maintainable automation frameworks (not just writing test scripts)
β’ Hands-on experience with test data management and environment dependencies
β’ Strong debugging skills across UI, API, and backend systems using logs and tools
β’ Practical understanding of cloud-based test execution and infrastructure (AWS)
β’ Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of complex testing initiatives
β’ Experience reviewing code and providing constructive feedback to improve automation quality
β’ Experience in any BDD frameworks and knowledge of CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Kibana, Opensearch)
β’ Experience in API testing and automating (using on/Java)
β’ Experience testing AI/LLM-based systems, including prompts, responses, and multi-step agent workflows
β’ Understanding of context management, memory, and state handling in AI agents
β’ Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
β’ Good at problem-solving.

β’ Experience working in the life sciences and healthcare industry
β’ Understanding of non-deterministic systems and techniques to validate probabilistic outputs
β’ Familiarity with prompt versioning and prompt drift detection
β’ Participation in Code Hackathons and Other open source community activities
