If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference, we’d love to hear from you. The Role Quality Assurance II has a solid foundation in software testing and a strong drive for quality. As a mid-level QA professional, they play a key role in planning, designing, and executing manual and automated tests to ensure the functionality and stability of our public safety applications. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality across the software development lifecycle. What You Do • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans based on product requirements and user stories • Evaluate that test case acceptance criteria have been met. • Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution • Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and other Agile ceremonies • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure product quality throughout the release cycle • Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide feedback to stakeholders • Maintain and enhance test scripts, frameworks, and automation suites • Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to improving QA best practices • Performs other related duties as assigned to support team objectives, departmental needs, and overall organizational priorities. What You Bring Required Qualifications: • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience and training. • 2-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance or relevant testing role. • Proficient in writing test cases, executing tests, and logging bugs • Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, playwright, Postman, etc. • Experience with testing API’s, web applications, and/or mobile applications. • Experience with using test management and bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, etc. • Ability to approach problems methodically and seek solutions with minimal guidance. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. • Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies. • Clearance: Ability to pass a criminal background check for CJIS security requirements. Asset Qualifications: • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments • Exposure to CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc. • Experience with security and/or performance testing tools such as LoadNinja, Invicti, Qualys, etc. • ISTQB or relevant certifications • Familiarity with AI tooling in development workflows. Note: Due to the nature of our work with public safety agencies, this position requires compliance with the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy. Candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive, fingerprint-based background check. Please note that specific customer contracts may impose additional security verification requirements.
