About the Role
We are looking for early-career to mid-level software engineers to join Visaβs Data and AI Platform team. This role involves working with big data, artificial intelligence, and modern open-source technologies to build scalable data platforms that support critical business use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- βParticipate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- βDevelop and enhance scalable, resilient, multi-tenant platform components used by internal applications.
- βCollaborate with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional partners to deliver platform capabilities aligned with business needs.
- βImplement software solutions using best-practice engineering patterns for reliability and scalability.
- βContribute to platform strategy initiatives, such as scalability, performance optimization, and operational excellence.
- βWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following Visaβs engineering standards.
- βActively learn new technologies and apply them to improve platform capabilities.
- βDemonstrate an AI-first mindset, leveraging data and automation where appropriate.
- βSupport team goals, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to a strong team culture.
Requirements
- βStrong foundation in distributed systems, data platforms, or backend engineering.
- βExperience with modern open-source technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Apache Druid, and Apache Pinot.
- βAbility to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- βExperience with large-scale distributed data systems.
- βCollaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
