About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to building data-driven business solutions. This role involves extensive hands-on activities in architecture, design, and development, particularly as we embark on building a Data Lake.
Key Responsibilities
- →Responsible for the architecture, design, and development of data solutions
- →Work on development of new products iteratively by building quick POCs and converting ideas into real products
- →Develop workflows and ETL/ELT code using Hive scripts, Spark, and other utilities on Hadoop
- →Build analytical applications using the Hadoop ecosystem with packaged or open source technologies
- →Build resilient data pipelines for reporting and data science/ML use cases
- →Interact with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality products and services
- →Ensure the team's deliverables meet or exceed the prescribed defect SLA
- →Present technical solutions and communicate status, issues, and risks effectively
- →Perform other tasks on R&D, data governance, data security, system infrastructure, and cross-team functions
Requirements
- ✓Expertise in technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Scala, Python, MS SQL, Kafka, and Power BI
- ✓Experience in building data-driven business solutions
- ✓Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
- ✓Ability to work iteratively on new product development
- ✓Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- ✓Passion for delivering zero-defect code
