About the Role
The Director of Engineering will lead and scale the engineering organization responsible for Visa's benefit discovery and redemption platforms. This senior leadership role focuses on people management, technical strategy, and delivery excellence to build intuitive, reliable, and scalable customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visaβs internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability
- βCollaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings
- βActively contribute to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads
- βDevelop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions
- βLeverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology

Requirements
- βOrganizational & People Leadership: Build, lead, and develop high-performing engineering teams, including managers and senior engineers
- βEngineering Strategy & Execution: Own the engineering strategy and roadmap for benefit discovery and redemption platforms
- βPlatform & Architecture Oversight: Provide oversight and guidance on system architecture and technical design
- βCross-Functional & Executive Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Design, Compliance, Operations, and Customer Support leaders
- βPartner & Customer Enablement: Oversee engineering support for partner integrations and benefit provider onboarding
- βProcess, Quality & Scale: Establish and evolve engineering processes that scale with growth while remaining pragmatic
