About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our team at Visa, where you will serve as a strategic technical leader in our next-generation Agentic AI and Data Platform. This role involves architecting, scaling, and optimizing enterprise-wide data platforms to enable intelligent automation and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define and drive the data engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
- →Architect and oversee the design of complex, distributed data systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- →Establish and enforce technical standards, best practices, and governance for data engineering across teams.
- →Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- →Conduct regular code and design reviews, promoting clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- →Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale data engineering projects, including prioritization, planning, and stakeholder management.
- →Resolve complex technical issues and make impactful decisions that shape the future of data engineering.
- →Work closely with senior engineers, architects, and product managers to develop innovative solutions for new product development.
