About the Role
We are looking for a Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our technology company that applies state-of-the-art AI and machine learning techniques to real-world problems in finance. This role focuses on building, automating, and maintaining an exemplary Linux infrastructure that is available, scalable, secure, performant, and fully reproducible.
Key Responsibilities
- →Developing operational tooling in Python, Ruby, or similar language for API integrations, data processing, and system orchestration tasks
- →Designing and implementing systems that are highly available, self-healing, scalable, and performant
- →Creating comprehensive metrics, monitoring, visualizations, and alerting systems for all parts of the infrastructure
- →Designing and implementing all systems components with "Security First" principles
- →Engaging with AI tools for all aspects of development and support
- →Participating in an on-call rotation
Requirements
- ✓At least 7 years of working as a Linux Systems Administrator or Engineer
- ✓In-depth understanding of Linux fundamentals regarding filesystems, process scheduling, virtual memory management, and other base primitives
- ✓In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP network protocol and addressing
- ✓Significant experience developing operational tooling in Python, Ruby, or similar language
- ✓Significant experience with Configuration Management platforms (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- ✓Experience with metrics, monitoring, and visualization tools (Prometheus, Influx, Grafana)
