About the Role
Volley is seeking their first Data Engineer to build production-grade data infrastructure and unlock the next phase of their growth. This is a high-impact opportunity to create durable infrastructure from the ground up and improve marketing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and own end-to-end data pipelines for marketing attribution and third-party enriched data sources
- →Establish production-grade reliability standards including monitoring, alerting, SLAs, and incident response
- →Design scalable patterns for handling late/out-of-order data, backfills, and data quality
- →Implement environment separation, CI/CD for pipelines, and data contracts/validation frameworks
- →Collaborate with Data, Growth, and Engineering teams to define data requirements
- →Develop unified attribution and incrementality frameworks for marketing optimization
- →Transform ad-hoc pipelines into production-grade systems
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of data engineering experience with reliable production pipelines
- ✓Deep expertise with orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster
- ✓Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for building ELT/ETL pipelines
- ✓Experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift)
- ✓Cloud deployment and operation experience (IAM, networking, secrets, CI/CD)
- ✓Track record of improving data reliability and handling operational incidents
