About the Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join Vonage and help innovate cloud communications for businesses worldwide. This role involves building and scaling the core real-time communications platform that enables seamless voice and media experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and maintain voice backend services, customer facing frontend dashboards and Client SDKs
- →Develop and support WebRTC, media server, and observability components
- →Improve system security, authentication, and dependency health
- →Participate in on-call rotation, incident response, and production operations
- →Debug call quality and performance issues across the RTC stack
- →Collaborate with Voice, Video, Infra, Network, Product, and Support teams
- →Contribute to architecture design, documentation, and service ownership
Requirements
- ✓Experience with backend development (Node.js/TypeScript, Java or Go)
- ✓Strong understanding of distributed systems and REST APIs
- ✓Experience with AWS, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
- ✓Familiarity with Couchbase and Redis
- ✓Ability to troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
- ✓Strong ownership mindset and cross-team communication skills
