About the Role
We are looking for an Engine Productivity Specialist to join WABTEC’s Operation & Technology (O&T) team. This role will support life cycle cost reduction projects for base engine platforms within Global Services Organizations (GSO). You will lead a team of shop support technicians and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative engine maintenance cost projects.
Key Responsibilities
- →Serve as the point of contact with shop operations to manage daily activities
- →Oversee and support a team of shop specialists
- →Review and interpret failure mode data from field core returns
- →Manage engine dirty core pool for Wabtec’s Light Work Scope Engine Process
- →Communicate with customer service leads regarding engine failures and billing opportunities
- →Periodically report on relevant metrics to peers and leadership
- →Monitor scrap rates and analyze trends to identify supply chain risks
- →Support the development, validation, and implementation of remanufacturing processes
- →Engage with design engineering to understand specification limits
- →Integrate with manufacturing engineering to provide SOP improvements
- →Generate and present new ideas for remanufacturing processes
Requirements
- ✓Associates Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
- ✓Minimum of 3 years working with diesel engine manufacturing or 1-year experience with WABTEC’s Operation and Technology division
- ✓Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- ✓Efficient time management and multitasking skills
- ✓Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on capabilities
- ✓Ability to use basic measuring tools
- ✓Familiarity with manufacturing processes and engineering support for a production environment
- ✓Ability to lead and execute projects as necessary
- ✓Occasional travel may be required
