The Waymo Driver powers Waymoβs fully autonomous ride-hail service and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Strategy & BizOps team drives and executes against the companyβs go-to-market strategy. We leverage quantitative and qualitative analysis to create long-term business strategies and help execute on Waymoβs commercial deployment. The team is analytically driven, with a proactive mentality, focused on finding and delivering on high impact projects.
This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Director of Business Operations.
You will:
β’ Be a foundational member for the Waymo Bizops team and you will be responsible for helping to build and execute our go-to-market (GTM) strategy, tackling the most complex analytical and operational challenges
β’ Analyze ambiguous problems, build processes from the ground up, and lead cross-functional projects that bring our GTM strategy to life
β’ Conduct deep-dive market analysis, competitive landscaping, and quantitative modeling to support strategic decisions, including opportunity prioritization, pricing scenarios, and making difficult trade-offs
β’ Lead and manage high-priority, cross-functional initiatives by collaborating effectively with Product, Partnerships, Policy, Regulatory, Operations, and many other teams
β’ Define, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the ride-hailing business, translating data into actionable insights for leadership
You have:
β’ 6-10 years of experience in a highly analytical and strategic role, such as:
β’ Management Consulting
β’ Investment Banking
β’ Strategy & Business Operations (BizOps)
β’ Corporate Strategy
β’ Exceptional quantitative and analytical modeling skills (e.g., advanced Excel / Google Sheets, advanced Google Slides) and the ability to build data-driven business cases
β’ Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish
β’ Strong relationship building and communication skills, particularly to senior leadership
β’ Can roll up their sleeves and get things done
We prefer:
β’ Experience in a high-growth technology or mobility
β’ Prior strategic / analytical experience in a tech company (chief of staff, bizops / strategy)
β’ Experience with commercialization / go-to-market strategy (e.g., pricing, partner strategy)
Travel requirements:
β’ Up to 10% travel may be required
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
