About the Role
Waymo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Commercialization team and help build the next generation of infrastructure for driverless cars. This role involves designing systems that manage and optimize Waymo’s core ride-hailing and fleet management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and evolve mission-critical commercialization tools and systems
- →Collaborate with Product, UX, and engineering teams to develop systems and processes
- →Solve complex problems such as demand planning, pickup/dropoff optimization, and fleet optimization
Requirements
- ✓BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- ✓6+ years of experience with backend technology
- ✓Technical leadership skills
- ✓Ability to thrive in ambiguity and solve large, open-ended problems
- ✓Strategic and architectural thinking with balanced short- and long-term needs
- ✓Excellent communication and collaboration skills
