About the Role
Waymo is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. This role involves blending software and hardware systems to ensure high performance standards for autonomous vehicles, focusing on testing and validation.
Key Responsibilities
- →Help partners develop test strategies for requirements, detailed test plans, scripts, and clear judgment criteria
- →Drive collaboration with test engineering stakeholders across partner organizations
- →Identify skill and organizational gaps within OEM teams and help build expertise for cross-system testing
- →Guide partners in transitioning from manual testing to automated, data-driven approaches
- →Ensure proper traceability and logging standards for integration with Waymo’s central data repository
- →Collaborate with internal infrastructure teams to design low-latency solutions
Requirements
- ✓Strong background in systems engineering, test engineering, or automotive validation
- ✓Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of managing technical teams
- ✓Experience managing external partners or suppliers in a technical capacity
- ✓Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive technical consensus across different organizational cultures
- ✓Professional fluency in Korean or Japanese (written and verbal)
