About the Role
Waymo is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its Systems Engineering team, responsible for blending software and hardware systems in groundbreaking new ways. This role focuses on setting high performance standards for autonomous vehicles and designing tests to validate that performance.
Key Responsibilities
- →Coordinate, expand, and accelerate the Verification and Validation strategy for new and existing autonomous vehicle platforms
- →Plan and schedule V&V campaigns based on the scope of Requirements
- →Coordinate and supervise verification activities, including reviewing Requirements and designing Tests
- →Drive alignment and test planning activities with other stakeholders
- →Provide technical support to Test Engineers during verification activities
- →Develop and execute on test automation strategy for verification corpus
- →Expand the test infrastructure and capabilities of the Test Engineering team
Requirements
- ✓Coordinates and tracks projects effectively, understanding the scope, resources, and timeline
- ✓Experience working with large databases using SQL or similar query languages
- ✓Expertise with production-level software concepts in C++ and/or Python
- ✓Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills
- ✓Test planning and experimental design; working knowledge of test 'best practices'
- ✓Bachelor and/or Master's degree in a relevant engineering or a related field
