About the Role

We are looking for a Behavior Test Engineering Manager to join Waymo's Systems Engineering team. This role involves leading and managing the Behavior Test Engineering’s Release Health Team, ensuring vehicles run smoothly and passengers stay safe.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead and manage the Behavior Test Engineering’s Release Health Team, including hiring, setting OKRs and guiding work, and developing your team's careers
→Participate effectively in the on-call rotation, and automate Waymo's testing pipelines to be more resilient, reliable, and scalable
→Lead technical work — work with SREs, Test engineers and SWE partners to develop and set the technical direction and architectural guidelines for Waymo's long-tail behavioral testing suite

Requirements

✓A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
✓Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience navigating a critical and horizontal space
✓6+ years of industry experience in reliability engineering or production systems
✓1+ years of management experience
✓The ability to lead a technical engineering team and deliver impact while managing the team effectively
✓Demonstrated ability as an individual contributor engineer
✓Ability to be in an on-call rotation
