About the Role
We are looking for a Platform Security Engineer to bridge the gap between security standards, developer velocity, and AI-assisted engineering. This role focuses on championing the GitHub Advanced Security ecosystem and Copilot’s autonomous agent capabilities to deliver resilient software.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the strategic evolution of the GitHub Advanced Security environment and GitHub Copilot configuration
- →Design and govern the use of Copilot autonomous agents to ensure AI-generated code meets enterprise security standards
- →Design and deploy automated scanning (CodeQL, Secrets, and Dependencies) that integrates into CI/CD workflows
- →Act as a high-level partner for development teams, helping them navigate complex security findings
- →Identify recurring security trends and develop custom repository instructions to guide Copilot agents
- →Establish metrics to move security posture from reactive to proactive
