About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Android Engineer to join our team at Welltech, a global wellness company with 25.5 million users. In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to develop and enhance our mobile applications, focusing on architecture and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- →Co-own and take technical ownership of the team’s codebase and production systems
- →Lead the design and development of high-quality, performant mobile solutions
- →Drive end-to-end delivery by translating complex user needs into robust technical solutions
- →Shape the architecture and system design of mobile applications and integrations
- →Influence technical direction through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing
- →Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, frontend, security, and product teams
- →Mentor and support other engineers, fostering technical growth
- →Work hands-on with Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, Jetpack Compose, and Jetpack libraries
- →Identify opportunities for technical improvements and drive initiatives
- →Deliver high-impact features in a customer-centric environment
Requirements
- ✓Solid experience with Kotlin, including coroutines, networking, persistence, and performance optimization
- ✓Experience with Jetpack Compose and modular, scalable UI architectures
- ✓Excellent understanding of architectural patterns (MVVM, MVI, DI) and modular codebases
- ✓Ability to manage risks, trade-offs, and propose efficient solutions
- ✓Experience with design for testability, automated tests, and end-to-end quality ownership
- ✓Strong ability to design for reliability, scalability, and performance
- ✓Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tooling
- ✓Product-minded approach with a bias for pragmatic, maintainable solutions
