About the Role
The Hebrew Linguist performs quality control tasks, transcreation tasks, and on-demand translation tasks on assigned accounts/projects. This role coordinates the activities of a group of translators and ensures high-quality work within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- →Perform copy-edit tasks on assigned projects or accounts
- →Perform on-demand translation tasks
- →Provide lead support on assigned projects or accounts
- →Manage and maintain language materials including glossaries and style guides
- →Manage project-related queries
- →Ensure good interaction among team members and resolve terminology questions
- →Test and qualify new freelancers and vendors
- →Develop and train internal linguists and freelancers
- →Interact with clients on linguistic matters
- →Participate in developing improved working processes
- →Meet or exceed productivity KPIs
- →Achieve goals set by the Squad Lead
Requirements
- ✓University degree in Translation/Applied Languages and 3+ years of experience as a translator or reviewer
- ✓Native-level fluency in Hebrew
- ✓Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- ✓Experience as a translator in Mobile Apps, Search Engines, IT Consumer products, Entertainment, Marketing, Software UI, and Websites
- ✓Excellent knowledge of terminology in IT consumer products, social media, and entertainment
- ✓Thorough understanding of the localization process
- ✓Experience with standard software (Windows, Office) and CAT tools (XTM, SDL Studio)
- ✓Issue tracking and query management tools (JIRA)
- ✓Ability to learn new localization tools quickly
- ✓Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- ✓Excellent knowledge of terminology in two or more subject matters
- ✓Ability to work with tight deadlines
- ✓Ability to give clear, concise, and constructive feedback
- ✓Ability to present information and respond to questions from various groups
- ✓Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats
- ✓Ability and willingness to train others and communicate positively with customers
