About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Whatnot, the largest live shopping platform in North America and Europe. This role involves designing and developing software systems to improve company metrics and enhance user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and develop software systems and applications
- →Analyze and design software features based on business metrics
- →Recommend software upgrades for existing systems
- →Optimize software for speed and scalability
- →Develop new features to help users understand the product
- →Lead the team in backend development best practices

Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field
- ✓Five years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation
- ✓Experience with building scalable systems using Python, Elixir, or JavaScript
- ✓Experience delivering features and shipping products
- ✓Experience with Python A/B testing for experimentation
- ✓Experience with SQL for data analysis
- ✓Experience with monitoring tools for logging and dashboarding
- ✓Experience with Backend as a Service (BaaS)
